Nana Ama K. Stephens

NANA AMA K. STEPHENS  obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Reading (UK); and a Post Graduate Diploma in the Bar Vocational Course, from the University of West of England (UK). She was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2008; and to the Ghana Bar in 2009.

Nana Ama has over the past sixteen years acquired a wealth of experience in credit-related matters, having advised many clients in both the financial and business sectors. Her areas of competence include debt recovery litigation, debt restructuring and management, legal auditing, securitization, and asset recovery.

Nana Ama is a member of the Ghana Association of Restructuring & Insolvency Advisors (GARIA). She has been practising as an Insolvency Practitioner since 2021 and has acted on behalf of various companies and individuals.

As the Partner overseeing the Credit Advisory, Fintech, and Financial Services Team, Nana Ama and her team, managed the due diligence for the merger of two significant financial institutions in Ghana and has recovered substantial debt portfolios for several prestigious banks and businesses. She has represented clients in the High Court, Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court.

Nana Ama is also currently an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration (CIArb); and sits on the Board of a very notable Financial Institution as a Director.
