MANUEL SAWYERR was called to the Bar of England and Wales (Middle Temple) in 2016 and qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana in 2017. Prior to that, he graduated from the University of Ghana with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Economics. He read the Post-Graduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) as well as the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC), both at the BPP University Law School in London.
Manuel holds a Certificate in Global Business, as well as a Certificate in Strategic Negotiations, both from the prestigious Harvard Business School in the United States. He also obtained a Certificate in Oil, Gas & Mining Governance from Oxford University in the United Kingdom.
He carries an impressive track record, having worked in Business Development, Strategy and Government Relations with multinationals such as Cotecna SA, Webb Fontaine Group, UBI Petroleum (now Puma Energy), SY Investments SARL, and several Ghanaian companies. He currently serves on the Governing Board of the National Petroleum Authority of Ghana.
Manuel provides legal advisory services and representation to a variety of clients, both local and international, as well as to a number of entities, both in the public and private sector.
He maintains a keen interest in community development, and in his spare time, enjoys reading,
football, quad biking and polo.
