Afia Poku

AFIA POKU obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) with First Class Honours from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. She then completed the Professional Law Course at the Ghana School of Law and was called to the Ghana Bar in 2019.  She graduated with a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Harvard Law School in 2020 and was called to the New York Bar in 2021.

Ms. Poku has extensive experience providing high-level legal advice to companies, start-ups, and international non-profits in the United States of America (USA), the United Kingdom (UK), and Ghana in international investment projects and commercial transactions.

As an associate of the firm, her areas of expertise cover the fields of corporate governance, legal auditing and due diligence, compliance and securitization, project finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Afia skilfully handles corporate and commercial briefs and debt recovery litigation for Ghanaian and international clients of the firm.

She is a detail-oriented professional and proficient at conducting research and analysis to solve legal issues.
